An oppinion please?

Hello all,

Okay, this is my first attempt to record myself with my Vdrums. In fact, the rest of the band is a Dave Weckl recording Dave removed and me playing the skins. I already know that Dave's players are the better half of the band but I figured, what the hell. I'm a Weckl fanatic so? Also, I am in no way trying to infringe on Dave's material. I think we already have it established that he is the master. Click the link below, then the audio file.

Not bad Drums could be a little louder. QUESTION...How did you remove the drum track from teh song so you could play along with it. I have wanted to know how to do this for awhile?????

I just look for music - drums CDs with charts.
Lay down the music on one track, me on the other and wahlah.

No arguments with musicians or beer on the carpet.

About 80% of the tune is verbatum from the charts. Unfortunatly, I am by no means a Dave Weckl. If your interested, pick up the "Rythm of the soul CD" It's also available without drums from his "In Session" series. I'm sounding like a commercial.

Sounds pretty good! These drums never cease to amaze me. There is a lot of hidden talent out there palying them too!

There are a few directories there to be looked at if you like. If you are interested upload you talent to the incoming folder.

I have some tracks there you guys can listen to in my Pure Crap folder (hidden in the Kelly's Drum Tracks directory). The Pure Crap folder is my attempt to play both the drums and guitar. I cannot play guitar so the outcome is pure hilarity! I especially like Hyperblast for some reason.

The drumless MP3's are still available.

Hey Sky!

I noticed you had uploaded the file to my FTP site. I took a few minutes and converted it to stereo, removed some hiss, eq'ed it, added some subtle reverb and cut the db back by about 6Db.

As for the tracks in my Pure Crap folder...Yikes Indeed! LOL. I had fun making them and wish I could play guitar.

Ya really, after removing the tie wraps a dozen times over to change the setup, I finally gave up on cleaning it up. Also, my 12yr. old thinks it looks "Rad"

Cyberjam, you the man! I will download and have a listen. Until I get the logistics worked out for a better sound I may need your expertise in the future.

You mentioned the Weckl "Rythm of Soul" CD minus the drum tracks. I ordered mine over a year ago off of Weckl's web site - still haven't received it. Now I noticed you can't even access the Players Circle and CD from his web site. Where did you get your copy for the drumless Weckl CD?

Your correct. Weckl's site no longer has the CD. I did get mine there a while back from his site after several emails to them. But the good news. Here's where it now exists.

And you will get it for about $15 less then I payed. These folks are okay also. I just picked up 3 of his newest VHS's from this guy and he shipped promptly.
