  • nearly new Tama Starclassic Performer birch shells 4-piece

4-piece Tama Starclassic Performer (w/ a Mapex M Birch snare instead of the stock Tama snare). The shells are birch... light, but great sound. They've only been played live a few times, and I've taken excellent care of them otherwise. The emerald green finish is gorgeous, as you can see in the photos. This is my main kit, but due to roommates, I can't play it at all, and have no plans of moving for a long time.

I don't have all the hardware included, just the Tama tom holders and bracket, and a RIMS Dynamount which allows the floor tom to be floor-mounted instead of suspended (not shown in photo). Replaced the original heads with Evans G1 Coated, except for the kick which is an Evans EQ3 batter. It doesn't even need a pillow inside, as it sounds great without it.

Overall, these drums are EXCELLENT. This specific kit sold for over $2,500 (shells ONLY) about 5-6 years ago.

    specs (not counting the hoops):
    Kick 22 x 17
    Mapex M Birch snare 14 x 5
    rack tom 10 x 10
    floor tom 14 x 12

This is no entry-level kit. It's light, and the best-sounding drumset I've ever owned. All you need is a hardware pack and cymbals.

Asking only $500 for the four shells, tom holders and RIMS Dynamount. Well worth it for a kit of this caliber. When I bought the shells barely used from someone less than a year ago, I paid $900 for them. Local pickup is preferred (I live in suburban Philly) but I can also ship the kit... $50 for people on the east coast, $75 for everyone else in the USA).

You can hear the kit on a YouTube video I did, here:

    Thanks!
