  • WTB: TD-9SX or higher kit.

    Hey everyone,

I've been lurking for a while, and finally registered.

I've been drumming for a while now, but had to sell my kit when I moved into an apartment while in college. I really need to get back into it, so an electric kit is for me!

I'm looking to buy a TD-9SX or higher (basically anything that has all mesh pads, and dual trigger cymbals).

    Thanks!
    Max

    Welcome!

And what's your question? What kit to buy?

I'm looking for the TD-9SX or up (TD12, etc). At a 'reasonable' price

        Some questions

Do you primarily play for yourself, play out or record?

I recently moved from a TD-8 to a TD-12 and although I am happy, that TD-8 will frankly meet most people's needs. If you want a reasonable price, I think you can find them on a TD-8 kit. What makes it special above the 3's and 6's is that it has COSM. 9's are likely still in most people's honeymoon period except for the folks with GAS and who are salivating over the much anticipated TD-20 expansion. Does a wonderful job on its own, with VEX and triggering MIDI samples like EZD. Give it a look.

look up roland kits on ebay. i've seen great deals on used td-12s for ~2300.
            sells for 3.7k here.
            worth checking it up imo

Well if you are looking to buy a e drum for computer midi recording or something just to practice with, I have a YAMAHA DTXTREME 2S for sale for 1450 or 1400 if you are around OC area in CA. Well it's got USB slot which allows you to plug it directly into your PC or laptop and use your VSTi, or like I said perfect for practicing. Since it's got a real like cymbals including hi-hat which is to be placed on an actual hi-hat stand, it's great for practice. And I will be honest with you, it's not so great for live performance with it's 'so recorded' cymbal sounds. Anyway if it interests you, drop me a pm or email at [email protected]

Thanks, but I don't have any experience with that kit. If you were local I'd check it out

                      TD-12 For Sale

I've got a TD-12s for sale, only used for a couple months, it's in near perfect condition.

I'm honestly not sure what I'm doing with it for now (I live in Overland Park, KS...near Kansas City). So far I've just been posting on Craigslist but haven't had much luck yet so I'll probably put it up on ebay. If i end up doing that, I'll post the link in the classified section.

Price depends on if you want pacific saddle throne, pacific double kick pedal, DW hi-hat stand. But i was thinkin that with all included I would sell it for
                      $2,600
