Well, the new owner might will have to hold it for a week or so ...if you tell him you give the set a good, nice cleaning beforehand, I'm sure he agrees on this. You shouldn't really think about selling that kit this condition ...you miss out on a chance to show off something neat!

Well, I was hoping for something I could use before I sold the kit so it would look its best, but I guess I can just pass on the information to the new owner...

    Thanks for the replies.

Nope. Don't get any alternatives. Most others like ArmorAll will evntually dry out the rubber and ruin it. Just by it on line.

Welcome to the forum, NW Dreamer!

There's is canned stuff that's called 303 Aerospace Protectant. Forum-members have made good experiences with this on rubber surfaces, like cymbals and such, it quite seems to do wonders.

You may want to give it a try!

    Cleaning PD-6 heads

Hi, I've got a stupidly underused kit (hey, what can I say? I'm a guitarist...) that I'm getting ready to sell - probably to a friend. I did a search and read the thread about cleaning a mesh head (only my snare has a mesh head), but I was wondering about how to make the rubber pads look a bit better.

I've already cleaned them of dust and basic stick marks with a damp cloth, but was wondering what might make them look as new as they really are (similar to how Armor-All does with tires).

    Thanks for any suggestions!

    Craig.

Here's the kit I'm talking about:
