I live in Chicago. It might be cool to meet some guys gigging or recording here in town in person sometime.

There used to be a pin map page where folks showed where they live. Maybe need a new one!

We had a vdrums-forum map once, but where is it...?
I'm squarely in the middle of Europe, in Switzerland!

What's sad is there was one or two previous happy hours done...back in 2009 when I joined I think. I'm pretty sure it was in Europe and some of our former regulars were there, back in the heydays of Hampis offering up hot blondes, and The Ringo Thread, and the flame wars with Hod4smack and all the other regulars who have kinda dropped out as of late. I would love to do a happy hour, but, it seems most forum members live too far apart without a seriously planned trip to get someplace. I'm on the US west coast and have hosted two huge open mic style BBQ band bashes and have only ever gotten ONE forum member to come one time. It's tough for everyone. But I am all in favor!

So there's no way to attach or announce our geographic location? (IE signature line)__________________________________________________

If I don't see a location, I'm going by assuming that I'm dealing with an U.S.-forumite.
It makes for quite a laugh if I'm posting a dozen links to U.S.-online stores, only to realize I could have gone with Thomann in the first place, because it turns out the poster is from Europe as well - ...in a neighbour-country, just across my borders!
...at least, this makes suggestions a bit easier!..and as you can see, my location is firmly planted inside my signature!

I live downtown. Near Navy Pier. I grew up in southern Wisconsin.
Man, there doesn't seem to be any clusters of folks. My SoundCloud group actually meets in
person once in a while. I was hoping to hang and have some laughs over programming
Roland kits.

Before the upgrade, folks had a sig line automatically placed on their forum header of each post that said where they were from (provided they wanted t say so...some folks listed other places other than Earth based locations. Another reason we all don't like vB ver 5.

I was going to ask about that next. I'm a software programmer by day. One product I work with offers a real time
map widget, showing live where posts come from on a map.
