    I did it! I bought a used TD-12!

I found it at a local music store that
buys and sell used equipment. It was
for the same price as a new TD-9. I had
pretty much made up my mind to
buy the TD-9, until I saw this
    used TD-12.

This used TD-12 has a mesh kick (KD-85)
and the VH-11. It also came with a PDP
double kick pedal and PDP Hi-Hat stand.
It also has an upgraded cymbal, the
    CY-12R/C (I think). It's bigger than
the standard ones and it works as a
    ride.

I'm excited. Since today is Sunday, I
was unable to call my bank and get them
to remove the maximum dollar limit for
transactions on my debit card within a
24 hour period so, I put some money down
and, will pick it up tomorrow. So now,
I just have to be patient.

As near as I can tell, this link shows
    the kit.

    WooooWhoooo!

I can't wait to start playing it.

I've been searching, reading and asking
questions about making those drum cover
videos for youtube. I really don't want
to mess with trying to match sound wave
patterns in an editor to sync the video
with the audio but, it may come down to
    that. Unfortunately my camera doesn't
have a mic input on it. That would make
    things really easy.

But I've found a couple of products that
may get around that. I saw a post from
    "vdrumforgod". He mentioned something
called the pinnacle. It's a bit pricey
but, I may try it. In the mean time, I
    found these ...

    EasyCap
    http://www.cooldrives.com/usb-video-...a-adaptor.html

    EasyCap Viewer for Mac
    http://bentrask.com/easycap/

I'll give that a try first. There are
similar devices like that on the market.

This is the one I may try if the others
    don't work out

    XLR8 ProView USB video capture

If anybody has experience with these
devices and methods, I'd like to hear
about it. Or any other products or
    methods too for that matter.

    Okay, I've rambled enough ...

    c ya next time, corp-mule

          Great stuff!

My first, and free, recommendation is to do the V1.1 upgrade. Its a serious improvement!

I want to do that. I saw a thread the other
day about that. I need to find it again.

            I don't think I have all the stuff that's
            needed to do it yet.

I don't completely understand all the
            midi stuff yet.

The only thing you need is a usb-midi cable or a standard PC midi cable.
I just have a cheapie I bought off ebay a while back and it works perfectly, cost me 10 bucks I think.

The software is all supplied by Roland on their website, all you have to do is follow their simple instructions.

                  LAFFS!!!

                  I LOVE COURIER!
It works better for my really bad eyes.
And I come from a world of "command line",
which is predominately "courier" type font. I've
                  grown to like it.
