A very good friend of mine has gone through hell getting a paid item that cost over $200 shipped to them. The company is called Resurrection Drums or rezdrums.com. It is located in Florida. My friend has had to deal with the owner of this company that sells drum merchandise on the internet. The owner is very good at taking the money, but when it came time to deliver the goods, my friend had a BAD time getting the item shipped, or even receiving a short email confirmation that the item was sent out and on its way. Numerous phone calls were made to this owner as well as emails, and from what I gather, it got pretty ugly. My friend needed some kind of assurance that the item was shipped, and this was not a rip-off...that was too much to ask of Resurrection Drums. The owner lied to my friend, and said the item was sent on a specific day, but it was not, each time this business was contacted about a shipping confirmation, the owner had many excuses, and it has come to pass that the item is now on its way, but my friend was lied to about the date it was sent. Is this how customers are to be treated? This is posted to let you guys know who NOT to trust. Hopefully the item will arrive at the end of next week, and this will all be over. Save yourselves a headache, steer clear of this business.

Interesting.
A good way to work with your gear retailer is to ask that your card not be charged until the gear ships. This is a policy we are using here at Gearhead. It works great, however sometimes order confirmations are slow to be emailed, and we have actually lost orders due to this....
Shipping and account charging policies, and a good trust relationship needs to be established with your retailer before you send credit card information.

If you end up having to get your money back, you're in a good position. Sometimes you just need to stop accepting the excuses and say "I want a tracking number by x/x/x or I want evidence of a refund so I can order the item elsewhere or I'm reversing this charge through my card's issuing bank" and follow through on it.
Just $0.02 worth of advice for future situations...

Thanks, Ed! YOU are a reputable merchant, I have bought from you, and NEVER had ANY problems. You sent emails when order was processed and shipped, and I would highly recommend you.
My friend JUST received the MidiKITI, and the KAT was used, not "new" as advertised. Let's just hope that the module is not a lemmon. The reason I posted this was to warn everyone out there that this Resurrection Drums is NOT a business that can be trusted. No one should be lied to and treated the way this customer was. And thanks for that bit of information on merchants being black balled if reported. I will pass this on to others.Comment
