    Doing the MIDI thing

    Hey guys...I wanna hook up my DTXII to my 'puter. Any advice on MIDI cables to purchase...and do I need to spend another 140 bucks for Cubase or Cakewalk to load my drums on my PC? I am LOST when it comes to this area...HELP
