I've decided to buy a a sampler instead of a module, what do I need?

I know that I can't just plug some triggers to the the sampler, I know I have to buy some other stuff.

I know I need the sampler, triggers.

What else do I need to use a sampler to trigger my acoustic drums.

There are a number of products you can buy to acomplish this. You can buy new if you have enough cash. www.alternatemode.com The Drumkat is probably the most powerful midi interface you can buy bar none and it's crosstalk rejection is the best in the buisness. It's all automatic, you simply hit the pad or trigger you're setting up and it tells you which pads are interacting and supresses them in one operation. Ebay always has great suff if you know what to look for, here's a list. Yamaha DTS70, DTX, Drumkat 3.0 and above, Aphex Impulse, some Roland modules are great as well, TD10 is the best one. Stay away from the PM16, great for some pads, bad for acoustic drums.

If you just want a trigger device, check out the DrumKat DK10. It is usually about half the price of a 3.0 or higher on Ebay.

The DK10 has no trigger inputs for triggering from acoustic drum though.
