Yes... the search for "ddrum" on eBay has uncovered a real winner....all because of a misspelling....

Actually Chris, I had done an eBay search for "ddrum" and these drums came up because of the "bucket ddrum" reference. I looked at the auction just to see what the heck they had listed that would show up on a search for ddrums.
Just for fun I looked at another one of their auctions and found this priceless bit of marketing genius:

"ARE YOU READY TO ROCK 'N ROLL??? START TO ROCK YOUR WORLD, BE A ROCKSTAR!!! BID FOR CHEAP!!! Yippeee!!!
Drums have long been the solid foundation instrument in bands from rock n' roll to big band sounds from days gone by. Excitement is always generated when hearing a "presentation drum roll" or listening to the drum cadence of a marching band."

I just wish the drums would get out of the way so I can see 'em better.

    started a topic What the...?

    What the...?

This is a description from one of the cheapo drum kits being sold on eBay:

"This brand new, never been used, quality set contains a big base drum, two ear drums with stand, cymbal, drumsticks, pressing circle, big drum leg, a bucket ddrum, a bucket leg. Retails for $995.95. Made by Maxam."

Drum ears? Pressing circle? Big drum leg? Bucket ddrum??? Bucket leg? WTH?

My 44 year old brain doesn't understand this hip new drum lingo daddy-o

The pic shows a regular looking, plain ol' everyday cheapo-type 5-piece kit. What kind of drum terminology are they using?
