Can anyone point me at drum part notation software please. I've downloaded a few demos but they don't let you scribe drum parts and are much more sophisticated than I am looking for - ties to midi playback etc. I want to produce traditional notation rather than tabs.

    Thanks.

Sibelius is not cheap but if you know a teacher somewhere there is an Educational price also which was about 1/2 price.

I use Score Writer. It is very inexpensive and it allows you to do all those goofy things that are common in drum notation--weird note heads (x's for example), stems up regardless of position on staff etc.

Score Writer can read (and edit) midi files too.

So? What's the problem? All of these are useful for drum notations and/or tabs, and maybe someone else reading the post will want to try them. So there was a repeat. So what? It's from a list I have and I didn't have the time or inclination to edit it. Are we running short of space on the forum?

Thanks guys - I've now got a PC full of notation software demos - and a busy weekend ahead I guess. Forum came up trumps yet again.

              Cheers.
