  • Lost In The Flood

The Palatial Render Estate flooded this weekend. A toilet overflowed for 20 minutes and it went down through the second floor, destroying the ceiling, and down into the basement where my gear was. Thank goodness the Mondor has it's own room. It was untouched. The only victim was my poor Atomic Dog whose decals ran and about 8 bajillion YuGiOh cards.

      Atomic Dog

Nooooooh! Not the Atomic Dog. . . my teeth are gnashing.

I sure hope it uses only one life this time in order to live another day.

I don't have a clue what that means, but I know it meant somthing to you - I am truly sorry to hear this.
I hope that you are getting back to dry and comfortable.

Everything still plays fine. It was just the stickers that got damp and ran.
My insurance adjuster showed up today and is going to pay for all the damage! Yay! My contractor shows up tomorrow morning.

If you lived in the UK, you'd still be arguing about blame and costs 6 months from now. Man we suck at this kind of thing.

If you lived in Greece your insurance adjuster would replace your mondor with a hydra . Glad the kit is safe Mike and to be serious your adjuster here would tell you "what flood are you talking about ,are you sure"?

Ooo, sorry to hear about your mini-disaster, glad you are covered. Are the adjusters going to compensate you for those runny stickers too?

Phew...!! Dude! When I read the title to this thread, I thought the mighty 'Mondor' was doomed. I practically had a heart-attack... and it's not even my kit!!

ps. Sorry about the water damage, the Atomic Dog and stuff... I hope you get it all sorted soon.
