reminiscing...
A couple of years ago I was in LA on business and got to hear the Peter Erskine Trio (w/Alan Pasqua and Dave Carpenter) at the old Rocco in Bel Air. It was the CD Release Party for their disc, "Live at Rocco." The cover charge was $15 but not only did that get you entrance to the club, you also got the (double) CD!!!
Man that was a GREAT night!!!!
I highly recommend the CD! It is a phenomenal performance. There are tons of chops displayed on this recording but they are cleverly concealed inside beautiful music!

Whenever I go to LA, I check out the web sites of Peter Erskine and Jeff Hamilton just to see if those guys are playing anywhere in town.
Have fun!!

As it turns out, I am going to a business conference at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel all of next week. It'll be my first time in Hollywood. Can anybody recommend anything worthy of a visit?
