  • HandSonic Artist Jam / Win a HandSonic 10 Contest !

We are very excited to announce the HandSonic Artist Jam and Contest. Now live at RolandUS.com.

HandSonic HPD-20: Digital Hand Percussion - Dynamic E-Percussion for Stage and Studio

What is it?... We've captured three of the world's best percussionists: Luis Conte, Richie Garcia, & Brad Dutz performing on the HandSonic 10, HandSonic 15, and the SPD-S. They also share their comments on how they use electronic percussion on the stage and in the studio. The multi-part video is very entertaining and insightful, and we encourage you to watch it when you have a chance.

After viewing the video, you will be able to enter a contest to win a one-of-a-kind HandSonic 10 autographed by Luis, Richie, & Brad!

The contest will run until January 31, 2009 and the winner will be selected by random in early February 2009. The contest is open to US residents only, with only one entry per person allowed.

The Global Website of Roland Corporation, a leading worldwide manufacturer of electronic musical instruments and digital equipment.

On a personal note, this was an extremely rewarding (and fun) project to be involved with. Luis, Richie, & Brad are not only amazing players, they are an absolute pleasure to work with.

We hope you enjoy the HandSonic Artist Jam as much as we enjoyed putting it together...and good luck on the contest ....we hope you win!

Watched and entered. Frankly I thought the artists were each better alone than together. Thanks for the notice!

(i don't intend that as a slight on the artists, they are awesome. Just an observation on the collaborations vs. solo pieces at the end.)
      Stuff to hit

The videos were good...part three was my favorite. I think it is hard to "solo" many of these instruments and the artists said that their primary uses were for backing.
Luis and Brad are both lefties...

I thought that the videos were hilarious, but they were good. Those guys sounded like anyone at a drum shop playing around.

                Bump!

Glad that many of you are enjoying the videos. The HandSonic Artist Jam page has only been live for one week, yet it is receiving very steady traffic. Although the HandSonic contest is open until January 31st 2009, you can't win if you don't enter!

Sad it's for US residents only to enter.
Same with modern drummer magazine give aways!
That has to change! Both are gloabally used and read!

Just a reminder that the contest will run only until January 31, 2009.

It would be great if the winner is a forum member!

It would be great if the winner was me! I need more gear! Heh.
But according to section 11, I am not eligible.
                          11. No person who is bald and wears a Power Jewel shall be eligible.
That is very specific and raises my suspicions.

This is in there because you rigged the e-Taiko giveaway and used your mystic powers to make everyone forget!

Umm... what was I talking about?
