Tonight there is a free web cast on the drum channel....featuring the Buddy Rich Big band and several famous drummers playing with them. It is sure to be cool!!
Neil Peart plays several songs with them at the end. Terry Bozio and many others! The concert is free and will be streaming live.

Hmm. The Drum Channel, eh? Never knew of its existence. The web design is irritating and foreboding to me for some reason. But yeah, thanks for the heads-up man. I'm very interested to see Bozzio - that should be pretty cool. I must say that I'm always more impressed with that Sax player with the 'fro from the BRB than I usually am with many of the drummers. There's one with Dave Weckl that kicks major ass, but then there's one with the Guns 'n Roses guy that's downright lame. I know it's sacrilege around here to dis Peart in any way, but I don't find him to be particularly compelling Jazz player either. Who knows, maybe tonight he'll change my mind.

I'd have to agree. I love Peart's playing with Rush but I cringed watching him on the DVD with Rich's band...I just found it really wooden.

The best drummers I've seen playing with the BRB on any of the DVD's were Gregg Bissonette and Steve Gadd IMHO. Bissonette really propelled them in the way that Rich/Krupa/Bellson did...he swings big time
