  • Rudiments & practice books

    Hey all

I'd just like to know if anyone has some advice which books to buy/use to practice rudiments and technique (snare only!). I've got Stick Control, but I'd like to get some books that really have more exercises in it, with mixes of the rudiments.

I was thinking about this book, but can't find any pics of the inside of it, so I don't know if it will suit my needs: http://www.vicfirth.com/education/we...r-lessons.html, and I can't seem to find it around here. Well, OK, I didn't go to shops around here yet, but couldn't find it on the internet.

I was also thinking about this one: http://www.thomann.de/be/ludwig_musi...ntal_solos.htm Anybody got any experience with it?

    Thanks, and advice is welcome!

Buy this book.... Its great when you are for working on rudiments. It was my only book for the first few years when I was learning. It is a collection of solos written by the same folks who determined the original 13 rudiments that would be used as a baseline to judge other drummers.
