PD-80R Vs. PD-85 Whats the difference?

I just bought a Roland Vdrum kit off Ebay and it listed the Snare as a PD 85, and when I got it, it was a PD-80R. I looked at the Roland Manual for both models and I don't see a difference. I am using a TD-6V brain if that matters.
What is the difference between these two drums?

I believe the pd 85's support dual zones (i.e., the rims for stuff like cowbells) where the pd80 are single zone.

I repaired one a few weeks ago, i compared it to my PD 85 and i couldn't see an obvious diff apart from the fact that the PD 80R was an older model (3 years) and the 85's are more recent ... the Pd 80R is probably an update to the PD 80 and the extra R means Rim.
