I'm familiar with it, but there's something about it that drives me nuts after about 45 seconds. Ever since I was 17, I always made sure I had the most stereo I could afford. I'm talking quality sound and not necessarily loud. I think I'm just spoiled. I can't even listen to that old Beatles stuff where the guitar is in one ear and drums in the other, etc. If it's not balanced and distortion free, I just can't deal with it. I tried using all the direct outs and panned everything hard right and left. Couldn't deal with that in the headphones either. Had to convert to mono. Just a quirk, I guess.

What comes out of the master outs is regulated by the individual panning for each pad. Control Room, mixer, pan (I think). It would defeat the purpose to provide a master balance control.

Putting the mix in one ear and the drums in the other sounds awful to me. Why aren't you sending your CD to the mix in, and adjusting the mix knob? I spend a lot of time practicing like this. The mix in (CD) is in stereo and so are your drums. You can regulate both. It's like being in heaven.

I know, I know, RTFM, but, is there a way to adjust the output balance (L-R) using the master outs? (i.e., like a balance knob on a regular stereo)

I've seen CD's where you can play along without the drum tracks by turning down one side (usually left) while playing the CD. I know I can just unplug that particular side, but just wondering if it can be done using the TD-10.
