  • Selling to a Guitar Center or Pawn Shop

I am really needing the money this week and I don't have time sell online my Zildjian A Custom cymbals and Tama Hihat stand. Which is better place to go to Guitar Center or any local music store or pawn shop. Where will I get the most money from cymbals and hihat stand? Drummers i need your help.
    Drummer 4 Him,

    Ron

Geeze Louise! What would it hurt to post them on vdrums.com? If someone took you up on it, pay pal could have the money in your bank account by Tuesday or Wednesday. I've had offers the same day posted and I know many others have too. You'd probably get more selling here than to a music or pawn shop. Expect to lose money on that deal big time.
Kit Pic 1 Kit Pic 2 Kit Pic 3... And FOR SALE I have: 3 PD-9's, MDS-10 purple rack w/cables/pad and cym mounts. See classified posts for details or PM me.

I can practically assure you you will get more on eBay or this forum than at any pawn shop or at GC. Why don't you see what they'll give you, then do a buy it now at eBay for $40 more. Bet you'll get it!

            Great!

In that case, can I borrow a few bucks?

Good joke, there stick in the mud.

Well, even though my fiancially situation got a little better I have still decided to sell the cymbals and hihat stand. I don't use hardly, only about 3 or 4 times.

I have attached a picture if anyone is interested in them.

Pawn shops and Guitar Center should be your absolute last resort for selling musical equipment. Both places will give you next to nothing, because they have to be able to resell your items for a profit worth their trouble.

Here's an example: When I got ready to sell my first e-kit, I inquired about what GC might pay me for it. They offered $300. I sold it two weeks later on Craigslist for more than $1,300. Nuff said?
