  • Pintech Woven Heads Vs. Canvas Concertcast

    Hey folks,
Got an electric drumset using pintech concertcast drums and the roland td-8.
Question, the current heads on my drums are the harder canvasy ones.
I've been thinking about upgrading them to the woven heads to reduce noise level. Pintech does the conversion for you for pretty cheap ($45).
My question is, does anyone know if the woven heads play as well or feel as good? I love the way they play now. Great stick response. Feels almost like a real drum. But, they're a little too loud.
How about the woven heads. Do they play as nice?
    Thanks!

I like the Pintech mesh heads. They feel like Acousitic drums tightened all the way up. Huge bounce and I am alot faster on mesh heads then I am on acoustic. My suggestion would be to go demo them at your music store. Pintechs are hard to find however. But the mesh Roland heads will give you and idea of what a mesh head feels like. I have never played on the "canvas" type heads. I am prety sure the better way to go is mesh. I hope this helps

        I'm a drummer. I don't play the timpani! Hire a percussionist!!!
