Not drum related -sorry
I have a 7 mile commute to work -mostly on double lane highways.
I usually drive a 4 cylinder 2000 S-10 pickup and it seemed
kind of goofy to be dragging around all that extra vehicle
that I'm not even using.
I still need the truck for those Home Depot trips but otherwise, it uses too much gas.
Small truck, just had it tuned up but still sucks gas.
My wife sent me a link to the Genuine Scooter Company site.
I don't know if she was serious or not but I did some research
and a week later I ordered one locally.
This is it:

It's a Genuine Buddy 125. I really like it.
It will go 65 MPH and so far I've gotten 78 mpg
Now that I'm getting used to it I think it's a blast to drive!
No shifting -just twist and go!
They can't keep them in stock. 2 days and they are all gone.
The only reason I got one was that I ordered that color and
it just happened to be in the next shipment.
Otherwise I would've been out o luck.
They're in such demand right now that the dealers can't order
a specific color -the dealers take whatever is on the truck,
(I repainted the panels that are now off-white the day
after I bought it -much to my wife's puzzling looks).
$3,300 out the door including tag, title, dealer prep & destination charges.
Two year warranty and 1 year roadside assistance.
$168 a year for insurance in NW Florida.
I will start taking it to work Monday.
$6 (@ todays prices) for a weeks worth of trips to work?
Yay!
Now we return you to drum related posts.....
