    Any of the TD- series modules will give you superb recorded snare sounds - this is one of the most impressive aspect of the Vdrums.

        Aha, so it's not the D-drmm pad but the module. Nevertheless, when I had the Vdrums I always had fine snares by starting with a piccolo snare and then changing the shell depth to 6 or 8. Don't know if this is possible on the td-8 as well. But give it a try. Otherwise: get a D-drmm module.
