  • Golf and Drums don't mix!

So i go out and play golf for the first time in eight years on Thursday. My right elbow is killing me and is keeping me from drumming. I can spend two hours or more drumming with heavy stuff and I never get sore or too wore out. I take six mile hikes in the mountains (just about every weekend) that have made me not as tired or sore as 18 holes of golf did...and we had a cart! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?

Thank god this weekend the wife and I are blazing down to Albuquerque to see Iron Maiden. It'll give me time to recover...but my neck might be a little sore.

Theres no sport that you can do if your gigging regular, cause any injury will effect your playing. I learnt this at an early age. I loved football (Soccer), athletics, tennis, but any one of these could cause injury that was detremental to playing drums so the sport had to go.

Well, let's just say that it was a good thing that it was a 4-man scramble...

Every now and then I hear of a golfer who shoots a score equal to or less than their age...heck, I'd be happy to shoot my weight

Hey Fullback: Stretch, son! If you stretch out well beforehand, you should have no issues. I play drums basically every day and play golf once or twice a week, almost never any issues.
