  • acoustic drums sounds with e-drums???

I am seriously thinking about picking up some Vdrums this year and I am looking for very authentic acoustic drum sounds. Is this possible with e-drums? can they fool you into believing it is a real acoustic drum set?

if anyone has any demos and can post some links that would be great.

    thanks

If you want acoustic sounding e-drums, maybe the ddrum4 is what you need.

I guess that depends on the fool. Hey, who you calling a fool? Why I oughta ...

There must be a couple thousand posts and a few black eye's on this one.

It sounds like you might be happier with the D's, but, study up on each and try before you buy. I can't imagine spending that much money on recommendation, sight unseen. And to get that recommendation from a bunch of drummers, you would have to be insane.

Seeing is believing, er, uh, oh was that hearing is believing. Whatever ... let the numbers tell you the story. And as far as numbers go the V's are light years ahead of the pack. Like I said ... listen!..., literally ...

              Hey everyone.
I want to trigger an acoustic drum from my drum machine. Can I do this? How do I set up the sticks so they hit the skin at the same time as my drum machine plays it? I just really want everyone thinking that I am actually playing the drums and getting really cool drum machine sounds out of them.

Don't know how you do it with a drum machine but... I use my TD-10 on board sequencer to accomplish this. I usually get a "real drummer" to play some groovy chops while I record it. Then I loop it and I fool everyone all the time. Not having to concentrate on my chops so much allows me to spend more time on the really important stuff like LOOKING COOL!

Try it and you too can be cool like me.

I think if you trigger your acoustic drums with a DDrum setup, using your acoustic heads for accuracy, and play real loud while turning the volume down for best signal gain, then you should be able to get a pretty authentic acoustic sound with your e-drums! $^)
