  • Just took deliv. of V-Session White. VCymbal quick question...

    Hello all.

I finally stopped pondering and bought the new 2002 model V-Session Kit in White today.

    Cool stuff isn't it?

In the first 2 hours of fiddling with it I have found a small and HOPEFULLY solvable problem.

My HiHat (CY12) VCymbal is NOT very responsive on the EDGE. It's very sensitive (having played with the thresholds and sensitivities) on the bow, but you REALLY have to whack it on the rim for the TD10 to sense it.

If anyone has this setup working WELL, could you PLEASE let me know your settings so that I can copy them onto my TD10.

    Thanks very much in advance.

    Yours

    Maverick

Can't help you quite yet. Just wanted to say congrats, I picked up my red V-Session yesterday and haven't slept since. I called in sick today! If you haven't had e-drums before, like me, this is the beginning of a tedious learning experience. Good luck.

Not really - just dig as deep as you need to, and ask questions here.

Where in Detroit are you? I am in Ann Arbor.

Hans, I live in the Sibley Shoes (Fyfe) building right next to the State Theatre, across from Comerica Park. Just moved here in June from Ypsi. Detroit is sweet, tell all your friends to move down here, we must rebuild!
Are you in a band in A2? I was the drummer for 'Blissfield.'

Sweet is not a word I often hear associated with Detroit. :-) Although, I agree, it is good for the city to have folks moving BACK from the 'burbs.

I played with a folk rock ensemble called "Blue Tango", and often play with the prog-folk band "North". However, I am now manning the woodpile for "The Sanctified Chickenbones", a derivative of "The Witch Doctors" - chicago/swamp style blues dispensing way strong mojo and utilizing the latest in bar room science. I've been playing my A's for this gig, but have finally cracked the V nut and think I will move back to the V's as my primary kit (V's w/accoustic cymbals).
