  • Infinite Justice ---- revisited.

I was just reading the text of the Bin Laden
tape on the internet and this prior
discussion came back to me. To all of you
who were upset that there was no proof of
Bin Laden's direct involvement what do you
have to say for yourselves ? I mean this guy
is the devil himself. Hopefully we'll find
this maniac and send him to the hereafter
    ----- praise Allah, of course.

Bin Laden isn't the devil. But he is an evil man. And the latest news tonight is that we have him trapped in a specific cave now. This might be his last weekend alive. Really, I wish we could capture him alive and let the residents of NYC, and the people from the Pentagon, beat the crap out of him.

i think the media should stop being so stupid and treat this topic more seriously. this was a war, is not something to be fooling around( i really got mad because some things i read on the news)and i dont think we should fool around either, just for respect to ALL the people that died.
with all this taliban american and the bin ladem jokes , damn man!!! meanwhile people was fighting and dying on there( from all sides!!!, afghan civilians, usa soldiers, and etc) the media really was just fooling around.
this "war" was something that made me unconfortable really.

american media was a disaster, thats why i chose to inform myself with international media.

            Hey Mikster:

Please don't think I am taking this lightly.

I am/was a (former) Financial Analyst at United Airlines. The plane that crashed in PA. was in our shop in January. We all took that to heart and took it personally.

I don't know about you... I'm not used to going to work with FBI agents running around and being subject to vehicle and bodily searches!

            If I'm first in-line, don't cut...wait your turn.

            Manu:

I appreciate your insight, especially from someone that lives in the "area."

            Peace, Brothers.

I just can't believe that someone like Manu who actually LIVES there can be so clueless.

Yeah, the media is stupid sometimes, I happen to work for AOL/Time Warner, so I have to watch television for my job. 8 hours a day

Does anyone remember that more than THREE THOUSAND PEOPLE DIED in these Attacks ?
I'm not sure if that would be a news story in Argentina or not.

                  Manu ? Any thoughts ?

I'm not trying to be a asssshole,
                  but dude, come on...

"alot of American people have chosen to watch foreign news" ??!!!

What American people are you talking about ?
Certainly not the "American people" I know.
                      That statement's a complete joke.
Only someone with some sort of ax to grind
who, at some level of their consciousness,
harbors some sympathies for the "cause"
of the terrorists would turn to foreign
                      press during these times.
I suppose you're tuned into Al Jazeera.
Yeah, they treated the Bin Laden tapes real
                      seriously.
If anyone doesn't get it here dude it's you.

                          Hi Mikster

I have the London Times as a linked favorite on my browser, and I definitely go there and to other foreign news sources to keep abreast of things.

Surely you don't mean to imply that I harbor sympathies for Al-queda, or that I'm not as "American (people)" as you?

The problem is that the American media sucks compared to other sources. They do no investigative reporting - they merely parrot what their sources feed them. And their biggest source - Donald Rumsfeld et al and the American Military - are telling us absolutely nothing. In fact, its worse than that -- they are deliberately lying to us, just as , incredibly enough, Rumsfeld promised us he would do!

So don't get all riled up like John Ashcroft and imply that someone's (Manu's) patriotic integrity is questionable because they don't believe everything they read in the US papers.

To be "eternally vigilant" in the defense of liberty means arming yourself with knowledge and being properly sceptical of the state.
Immensely powerful yet with a liquid cat-quick elegance

lol i couldnt have said it better.
a funny thing also is that in my country's newspapers we read news directly from the new york times that you would never see on the actual new york times you read in the us!( the ny daily news more than a newspaper looks like a joke )

i got iformation about a great part of the people on the us turning to the britanic newspapers, those are studies !!statitics!!!!( not something im creating )
but there's a part of the american people that dont understand that patriotism and numbness are diferent things!
