  • The Lord of the Rings! Yea!!

Hey! Totally not related to our Vs, but I wanted to see how many of my V-buddies were excited about the 1st of 3 LotR movies coming out next Wednesday, the 19th! I, my 2 bros, & 10 buddies have opening show tix! Weehoo! I'll post a review What an epic this will be from the usual Hollywood garbage!

I figured a lot of us mature dudes (I'm 31) probably grew up on the trilogy?

Goto > http://www.lordoftherings.net/ to view the Trailer & much mo'!

I've loved the trilogy for a long time, when I fisrt read it, I realised how many lyrics of bands like Led Zepplin were about this story. Listen to Battle of Evermore, Ramble On, Stairway To Heaven, Misty Mountain Hop, etc....................Tolkien was the foremost authority on Anglo Saxon legend, which is what it's based on, in the world. Great, great story.
Drumkat Turbo 4.5, Emulator X3, Superior 2.1, Roland Fantom XR, DTXtreme III, SPD-20 etc.......

I want to see it. I read "The Hobbit" when I was in high school. I loved it. I had a plan to read all of them the next summer, but jobs, friends, work, college, etc. kinda got in the way. I though it was one of the coolest, best and most interesting books I ever read.

      Are there two T's in "Hobbit(t)"??? I can't remember.

          jrcel,

FYI: The rock band Styx have a song called "Lords of the Ring" on their Pieces of Eight album.

Enjoy the Music (Styx right now... on vinyl :-) ),

          Steven R. Rochlin http://www.EnjoyTheMusic.com

"All hail to the Lords of the Ring
To the magic and mystery they bring
To the music in their story

All hail to the Lords of the Ring
To the magic and mystery they bring
To the lands of ancient glory

In the year of the Lords
          The message came from above
The heavens opened with their mighty sound
that shook the people in the town

And so we came from everywhere
The young and old the rich and poor
To hear the legend of the magic ring
and of the powers it could bring, they sing

All hail to the Lords of the Ring
To the magic and mystery they bring
To the music in their story
All hail to the Lords of the Ring
To the magic and mystery it brings
May we someday wear its glory

And now the message is clear
For I became a Lord this year
And though the legend was pure fantasy
We still need the hope it brings, so let's sing

All hail to the Lords of the Ring
To believe is a wonderous thing
May we always sing their glory

All hail to the Lords of the Ring
To the magic and mystery they bring
To the promise of their story"
          Enjoy the music,

          Steven R. Rochlin

It looks like it is going to be way sweet.
I never read the books, (I'm illeterate)
but I might have someone read them to me now. Maby one of those Audio-books or something.

LotR: Fellowship of the Ring is the Best Movie I've ever seen in my 31 years! Great Acting, Casting, Score, STORYLINE, Cimematography, Sound Efx, Special Efx, etc.

GO SEE IT, preferably in a THX or SDDS Theater!

Star Wars pales in Comparison! No kidding.
