I have a mixer with 2 headphone outs, then I can use the heaphone out of my hifi amp, and I can use the headphone outs of the tape deck as well. So If 3 guys bring their headphones, we can all play
Otherwise something like a Behringer Powerplay will do the trick; 12 headphone outs!

Why not send an output (like your headphones) to an input on one of the guitar amps? It won't be optimal, but it would work. The Bass amp would probably be a better choice, actually.

If it's 'just a jam', then it's OK if it's not perfect.

Not necessarily. Best be finding that out before your buddies turn up!
If you are only practising at low (and I mean low) volumes you could hook up your drums to a couple of home stereos and place them at opposite ends of the room. That way everyone can hear you a little bit. If you go this way, don't go too loud or there will be smoke!

, plenty of , and , , triggered acoustics, , and a plethora of PA blah blah freakin blah...I mean does anyone care about the specifics of pedals, speakers, processors, hardware or anything that I'm using?? Hmmm, maybe this is an appropriate place to mention that I tried out a new cymbal stand the other day...
