  • Who got the best setting for a Leppard,Esque Kick?!

Like the title says...Who has an idea or two?
I've fiddled and fiddled and can't seem to get a good Def Leppard sounding Kick.(Pyro)

Not too electronic and just throaty enough.
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks Guys

Depends entirely on your equipment and module, but the easiest way to get that type of sound IMO would involve decent outboard gear. It's a pretty processed sound (again IMO).

One of the settings on my Lexicon, with a particular gate/verb really nails it with one of my created kicks on the TD-10. If you post your module and gear, others might be better able to point you in a direction.

If I'm not mistaken, one of the stock cowbells in the TD-10 is damn close, maybe even the same pitch, and I bet (if you have a TD-10), that that, and maybe a slightly tweaked "Meat" kick along with some reverb/ambience experimenting would be a good start.

I'm not big into replicating others' sounds (except as superb practice for learning your module), but happy hunting.
