  • REAL SOUNDS!! Woohoo!!

Today I sat down with my V's (TDW-1 with V-Cymbal Control) for a good six hours straight, and I did two things:

    1. Tightened the tension on my snare drum so that it was more like the tight acoustic snare I'm used to playing (Incredibly real feel!! Rolls and paradiddles are awesome!! )

    2. Created an incredibly real kit from the sounds available. Not only does it sound real, there's no machine-gun on the toms at all and cymbal swells and rolls are possible, and they sound sure-as-hell real!! I based it on Kit 29 (Rec. Studio) on the TDW-1, and I came out with a nice, real-sounding kit!! This is the only kit I use now for acoustic sounds and feel in one!

E-mail me if you want it!!

(I can't be bothered to list every parameter of every sound right now... it's 11:10 p.m. here in England, and I'm shattered. )

I just have to tell the whole world.

(You guys noticed that I can't stop smiling yet?!)

DDrum users no longer have any advantage in terms of real kit sounds!!

Woohoo!! In your faces!! Ha haaaa!! etc. etc.

    *ahem* sorry...

    *s*******

    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

BTW, the kit is optimised for use with V-Cymbals. Specifically, it's optimised for use with 2 crashes (1 used as a China), 1 ride and 1 hi-hat.
You can easily adapt it for PD-7's, PD-9's etc. etc.

It's up to you guys! I've created the base, you take it as far as you want it!!

    See ya!!
    Ashley.

I've heard that somewhere before, but am at a loss for where it has originally come from or what it means...

What is the phrase's origin and meaning, Mick?

          Electrode,

Why not post it to the Patches section of the website?

Also, I'd like a copy (sysex or mid or whatever format you've got).

          [email protected]

This is not because I need a more "real" kit...just wanted to hear whatYOU think is a real kit. Everyone has different tastes, right?

          That is all.

I saved it in TD1 format, used in VKitTrans.
