Are there any good reference manuals or books regarding MIDI and its applications?

I have just bought the V-Drum Pros and absolutley have no clue about MIDI or electronic percussion. Of course I have been reading the manual on the TD-10 which will probably take me 20 years to learn.

I have played acoustic Drums for 20 years but this is actually my first attempt to learn electronics aswell as MIDI.

These are great tutorials that will get you in the know about MIDI stuff:

'I only ever quote myself - except when I quote someone else' - me

, plenty of , and , , triggered acoustics, , and a plethora of PA blah blah freakin blah...I mean does anyone care about the specifics of pedals, speakers, processors, hardware or anything that I'm using?? Hmmm, maybe this is an appropriate place to mention that I tried out a new cymbal stand the other day...
