  • Posting e-drum gigs

We chat with each other alot online, but is it perhaps appropriate to create an "upcoming gigs" forum so that we can check out each other's drums, playing, kits, etc?

This is sort of hand-in-hand with my users group post earlier.

How far north do ya play. I would go on a road trip to see ya sometime if I am not playing. I play pretty much in northern MI. occasionally we play in traverse city.

        Well, funny you should ask...

I am playing the Ann Arbor art fair with a group called "North" today (July 21st, 2001) from 4-6PM at Main and Liberty streets stage. So, asking how far "North" I go made me laugh.

V-Drums were used for many (all?) of the MP3's on the site.

(The drummer on the web site, if you are checking it out, has moved to Chicago to do professional percussion work. I am filling in for local gigs. I do session work from time to time, and know these guys through the local musicians network.)

Ha! You do realize a lot of Churches use e-drums and there are more than a few V-drums.com members who play in Churches and related functions. After reading the "religious" posts, I can easily visualize some of these guys going to Church to check out the drums! I can see the headlines now. Holy Wars in US! Film at 11:00. I had a good laugh on that one.

            OK - I'll post a gig.

My Christian band '4Given' http://www.clintonfcc.org/forgiven.htm will be playing Sat July 28 at the Clinton, Ill United Methodist Church. The church sponsers an open community Singsation the last Sat of each month. My band is the main music this month. If you're in the Central Il area and need directions, exact times - email me. And yes - I will be playing VPros!!

You posted you guys recorded in May and it was a pretty positive experience. Since I live ~850 miles from you I doubt I'll see you. Were you going to post any MP3's to your site any time soon? I'd like to hear it.
