Check out this topic too; http://www.ddrums.com/discussion/For...ML/000071.html

Scroll down for [email protected]'s Yammie kit, he's got XLR's in his rack as well.

Yep, it was Brian Keith Solomon. You can find it and a few other suggestions here: http://www.vdrums.com/discussion/For...ML/000029.html

Get some of that split & Corrugated conduit, thread your cables through the conduit & pull out the ends where required. Use cable ties to anchor the conduit to the rack.

This will take a couple of hours to get it right. But it's really worth it - I did it, and set up / pull down twice per week. It certainly speeds things up and makes things much less tangled!

I went a step further and used coloured ties to mark the ends of each cable: again worth the extra effort.

This is a cheap and effective method - I think it is explained in more detail elsewhere. If you need more info, let me know.

Wasn't there a post where someone ran cords inside the rack tube? They used short cords that went from the pads to the rack. The rack was drilled out and they mounted female jacks to it. The cord ran along the inside of the tube and out the one side to the brain. Assuming you locate where you plug in to allow for some variations of where you place your pads, it sounded like an ideal solution.

    Cable Management

    4 toms, 2 kicks, 2 hi-hats, 4 cymbals and a snare...

I have chords and cables all over the room! Any tips for keeping things clean and tight? Also needs to lend itself to quick setup and takedown for gigging.

    Thanks.
