Newbie Q: Can you remove (mute) drum tracks from CDs or MP3 files?

My TD-8 has the GREAT feature of allowing me to play along with the internal songs and MUTE the drum track. My question is: Is there a way to play a CD or MP# file (from a CD player or MAC) and mute or remove the drum track so I could play along with it and NOT hear the original drum parts?

Nope that's not possible, you could try to filter out some frequencies, but I don't think it will give good results...
