Last week I decided to give in to the rage that has been popular in the Netherlands: skeelering (you know, those inline skates)

After praticing alone a couple of times, yesterday I went skating with 2 friends. I had to show off the progress I thought I'd made... fell and hurt my left elbow pretty bad. Now my arm is in a mitella and I can harldy use it.

My first thought was that I wouldn't be able to play the drums for at least two weeks. That would be a real nightmare!

So today I tried to play with only my right arm. It was difficult but FUN! Okay... I can't do the bad-as$ fills, but it does lead you to do things I'd never tried before!

I hope the next couple weeks bring me more unexplored new ground.

    one-arm salute!

    Rob

Maybe a fall or two more might make you a better drummer.

    Just kidding

I believe the editor of 'Modern Drummer' had almost lost his right arm because of some dog who liked to bite in it. Luckyly he has kept it and it works again now. It would really suck as a drummer to lose one arm wouldn't it?
      Music was my first love...

Now if you can only slip and break your ankle - imagine the possibilities!

Whenever anyone mentions him, I am compelled to tell the story I heard about how, after his accident, the band said his time had improved...
