  • New V-drums MP3 samples for you!

    Hello!

Haven't posted anything for a while, so I sat on the kit and had a good old mess around with the V's. Enjoy!

    Click on the links below:

    Sample
    #01 - 0:48mins - 0.79mb

    Sample
    #02 - 1:54mins - 1.85mb

    Sample
    #03 - 4:58mins - 4.56mb

Sample #03 is played to the slightly adapted 'PopShuffle' backing track. I've simply increased the tempo and altered the instruments.

    Hope to hear your comments!

Do e-mail me anything specific, [email protected]

    Sincerely,

    Joe Wakeford - www.halfpennystudios.com

Hey puttenvr - thanks for the comments. I'll try and get some more things recorded soon. Hopefully some other people will do the same - always great to hear different peeps playing with their V's

      Sincerely,

Joe, what did you use to attach the PD-100s to the PC-50 clamps on the ICON rack. I want to use an ICON rack and build my v-drums with separate components ($$$ permitting) but I don't to compromise any ability to position the pads as I like (tilting for example).

Gibralter ball arms. Work very well. They can be positioned almost anywhere and take away the problems associated with the square Pearl Icon DR500 rack - which is brilliant by the way, very durable and not too heavy... can be used for your acoustic kit with ease (if you have one) and looks rather nice too!

              Happy V-ing!

              Sincerely,

Sorry... nope. Have destroyed all packaging in one of those 'I want to open everything really quickly' moments!!

Just ask your local music store for a Gibralter Ball Arm and they will magically appear... it worked for me. Sorry I can be more helpful!

Certainly a good way to go though.

                  Sincerely,

For those who've e-mailed me about what specific instruments were used on the samples I posted (see above)... here they are:

Most have been tweaked in some way - it would take all day to show what's been done to all of them (muffling settings, heads etc.)

                      T2 - BalladT2 - 697 (EXP V-TOM)
                      T3 - BalladT3 - 698 (EXP V-TOM)
                      T4 - TreeChim - 889 (EXP PERC.)
