You know, just about anyone can do this if they are so inclined. Here's a link to raw shells, hardware etc.....All you'd need to do is hok up some piezo's, can't be that hard. http://www.drummaker.com/

Inclined is the word. People are shelling out $300+ for a 12" pressed paper drum from Roland, I did it once myself. If everone knew just how simple this stuff is. I went into Guitar Center one day planning on buying a couple more Roland pads and walked out with an acoustic kit and saved money.
Then again, some just want turn key systems. I can understand. I had a 1971 Z28 Camaro (LT1 solid lift) and a 1969 Harley Sportster 900, I don't anymore. Too much work not enough time.
I remember a couple of years ago, I added up all the parts based on Precision maple shells and parts , how much it would cost to make a real head pad kit. This with real 8 ply maple shells, around $450 for everything, 4 piece kit. Do you have a source for piezo's, thanks. Jim.

Try All Electronics. They used to have them with long leads attatched, no more. They have one part #PE-33, they are a buck a piece and have no leads. Havent tried this one though. I finally learned how to solder one confidently without screwing it up.
