  • Roland TD-27 VAD506 and 503

So how many of you have pre-ordered a TD-27 VAD506 or 503 Kit? I ordered a VAD506 kit last week from eDrumcenter so that makes 1.

Also if you sold or traded a kit to get a VAD kit, what was it?

I sold my TD-30KV kit last Thursday (June 4th) I may use a TD-30K black rack and route the wiring harness like i did my TD-25. I will try both stands that come with the kit and the rack. I just like a rack look.
I can’t wait to get the kit.

you may have to extend the DB-25 cable for TD-27 in order to reach the toms through rack's tubes.

I can see a severe case of GAS happening here.

That or no one can afford it. It's been crickets. A lot of musicians not working right now and haven't for months. LIKE ME. "Always save up for a rainy day".

I sold (3) of my vintage acoustic sets, plus many cymbals, stands and a few vintage snares. Used that to purchase a VAD 503 (still waiting) and a Muzzio Drums 5 pc MX set (using). I am happy John built and sent me the Muzzio set, now I can wait a little on the Roland VAD......

I have one on pre-order (ordered in February).
I think I've seen every video in the world about the VAD line and the TD-27 module as I've been waiting.

I'm extremely excited to hear that it should come at the end of the month.
I did sell a Ludwig Classic Maple kit that I had laying around to offset some of the high cost of this, but I think it will be worth it.

I also get the backlash about them, but just sitting down at a kit that looks like a real kit instead of bunch of pads and I know it isn't going to have the trigger issues that can be rampant with A2E conversions makes me as excited to play as I did when I was just a teen.

Like you I have watch every video About the TD-27 VAD506-503 on youtube from everywhere (Japan, Russia you name it.) I can't wait to get the kit. I've already bought all new SKB hardshell cases for it. I'm very annal about kepping all of my equipment looking new. I always wear gloves packing and unpacking. I've been playing Roland since 1986 starting with the Alpha series. No Acoustic Kit at this time. Most all we do is weddings, casino's and private gigs And volume is always the key. We play NO CLUBS. Clubs pay crapola and 1/2 the clubs in the south still allow smoking. Playing outside I have a TD-25 with TD-11 pads (Rubber) pads.
