  • Can you add to the TD-15KV ?

Specifically asking about the Roland TD-15KV-S V-Tour Series electronic kit ---

I would like to add another cymbal (CY-12) -AND- another tom (PD-85), so in essence, I'll have a crash / ride (and an additional cymbal set up like a splash), and what will be like 2 floor toms.

I had a TD-12 (should have never sold it) that I added

Here's a corny clip with the additional drum and cymbal on my previous set:

just playin around - I added another cymbal and tom trigger, so my TD12 has expanded some = Still have a lot to learn about all the features, but having fun ...

I'd like the same set up

Is it possible to add a cymbal and another tom ???

    TIA

Short answer is yes. There are 2 additional plugs on the side of the module. One is called Crash2 and the other Aux I believe.
    TD-25KV, Yamaha DXR15, MG10. Senn 280HD.

I wonder what the long answer is.

You can always use special splitter cables to make dual zone inputs into individual single zone inputs...before you have to buy a bigger module or get GAS.

A slightly longer answer is yessss. Seriously, I essentially did what you're asking. I started by adding a BT-1 and primarily use it for another crash cymbal. I then upgraded my snare with a Hart Dynamics snare and then moved that (snare) pad to my right and use it as another floor tom. Works great.
