  • Help Identifying Roland Pad

Hi, I was hoping to find help identifying a couple of Roland pads I'd picked up used at a local music store. I'm wanting to potentially grab another matching pad or two.

The pads are PD-100's, but they do not have the same color exterior or mounting piece that I've been able to find online. They have a red metal flake exterior and a metal mounting piece, unlike the one on the Roland website which looks to be flat red with a black mount.

The Global website of Roland Corporation, a leading manufacturer and distributor of electronic musical instruments, including keyboards and synthesizers, guitar products, electronic percussion, digital recording equipment, amplifiers, audio processors, and multimedia products.

I will post a photo later, but are these different models, or likely the same thing? If different, is one older? Worse in any way?

Those are just re-wrapped PD100's - there is only one model of PD100, it came with either white, red or purple wrap. To get an exact match you'd need to find out the exact wrap that was used for the facelift - you disassemble the pad, peel off the old (factory fitted) wrap, apply the new wrap, poke/drill out the holes and then reassemble.
