    Christmas Wishes

    Just wondering what my friends on the Forums are asking Santa for Xmas, or getting for Chanukah, or whatever they are doing for the holidays if anything.

    I asked Santa for a Behringer P16 monitor mix module to use with the band!!! Anyone getting something like this picture?IMG_73237052533832.jpg

      Nice house...hate the bike. Mackie DL32R on my list....oh...and warehouse to store all my gear.

        For Xmas I would like more practice time, please.
        TD-30++ (TD-30, Diamond Electronic Drums 14x5 snare+Ludwig Atlas Pro II, 2xPDX-8, 2xPDX-6, VH-11+Gibraltar 9607DL-LD, 2xCY-12C, CY-13R, KT-10) + DA200S, almost all on an MDS-4 and a bit on the floor.

          Wow!!! A $2000 item on your xmas list? You must have been a very good boy this year lol!!!! I like the mixer but worry about using an iPad for it....I mean, mixer boards last for years...iPads, not so much. I bought one of the first model iPads back in 2010 for my Mrs for our anniversary and now it's not supported and lags. I suppose if you keep buying iPads every few years you can keep using the mixer, provided the technology it's currently using (WiFi) to communicate between the iPad and mixer itself stays current for the next 10 years, and if iOS stays around (it should!) then in 10 years you won't have a 3 space piece of paperweight in your rack.

          Why hate the bike? It's all about drums!!! ;-)

            Hehehehe...I'm always a good boy. However Santa will probly send me the bill to take of. The bike just seems too cheesy for me...meh..different strokes ya know. As far as iPads...they have been using this tech for sound reinforcement for years now. I'm pretty sure it's here to stay. But as you said...the companies have to keep current with updates and support. I think Mackie will.

              This is one of the first years in quite a while that I can think of where I didn't ask for drum gear. I'm asking for scuba gear instead 'cause that stuff is just as expensive as drum gear!! (really nice underwater light for video and night dives... $350!! Sound familiar? Where does it end?? You know, you can really tell when you get GAS underwater!!)

                TOTALLY!!!!! They say diving is NOT a competitive sport...until you go to the dive shop and start buying gear and THEN its all about who has what lol. Too bad you don't live here, I already got all my dive stuff and no dive buddy!!!

                          Merry Christmas all!

                          I still can't think of anything I really want or need.
                          I do have a 8mb memory stick on the way for one of my computers. Should be here 23rd or 24th It's the one I use for the studio win 8.1 and will have 16mb of mem.
                          Other than that, just a quiet day off from work to spend with the wife. The kids come at the weekend for dinner and gifts.
