  • Electronic cymbal stacking?

This has probably been talked about before but, is there anyone here who stacks cymbals on their electronic drum kit?
I know it likely isn't a optimal thing to do due to x-talk and such, but is it possible? I want to save as much space as possible while still having more than 2 crashes and a ride.
Gibraltar has a couple of different hardware options for stacking cymbals, but is a normal cymbal felt and washer enough to minimize the chances of x-talk?

Well that thread is about making your own cymbal. I was talking about mounting, say a Triggera D11 on top of a Yamaha PCY-155 or such. To use as a effect cymbal or whatever, trying to save space by having as little stands on the floor as possible.

I've been using my 8" and 10" Stealth cymbals with cymbal stack arm extension for many years now with no real crosstalk problems. XS20 Stealth Set by dajmando, on Flickr

Very nice! So there shouldn't be too much trouble with stacking say an 8" cymbal on a 13-14" crash or something?

            I'm using a D11 splash over a D14 china. Works like a charm ...

And of course, with electronics you can stack samples.
