Problems with volume on KD-9

Hey gang, I just bought deoublt kick pedal (DW 500 series) and once I started using the pedal I've noticed and now low volume. Is this due to the beaters not striking in the center of the pad? Called sweetwater and was told that the kd-9 that came with my TD-15k is not able to use a double pedal??? Isn't the KD-9 the same pedal with both TD-15 series? Need help

Any KD-9 can use a double pedal. See the advice on Page 5 of the KD-9 manual about positioning the beaters and increasing Sensitivity of the kick at MENU, SYSTEM, PAD SETTINGS, BASIC.
