anybody done this and made it work? i know manual says you cant use with mesh heads but come on roland.....really??????

The reason for the limited use with regular drum heads only is probably due to the fact that mesh heads don't resonate the same way. It will probably work with mesh heads but maybe it will always give low velocity notes and won't trigger well when struck multiple times in a short period of time. -
In our external trigger reviews, we were unimpressed with Roland's triggers when used with mesh. You'd be much better off selling those and buying some cheap RedShots.Comment
