  • V-Drums and Guitars together

Hi there drummers. Basically I need something where I can connect the v-drums and the guitars in, and both my guitarist and I can hear each others instruments through headphones and connect it to a laptop and record it as well. Is it called a mixer? If so, would you mind recommending something please. We tried using a splitter and connect to garageband but we preferred using the real sound of the v-drums and his guitars. I actually used one before but it's a bass guitar pod but I wasn't exactly sure.

Sorry if that sounded amateurish but really have no other way of finding out.

Sounds like what you need is a JamHub: http://jamhub.com/
This is made for precisely the situation you describe and it is available for different numbers of inputs (and therefore different prices).
I never used it myself but it seems to be good product.

Some mixers have audio interfaces built in so you could both hear yourselves and record to computer. I personally use a Roland studio capture along with a 4 (stereo) channel headphone amp. The combo lets three band have 4 completely separate mixes running through our headphones, plus the ability to interface with a computer for recording.

The Tourbus version of Jamhub has a built in recorder.

No, I don't use anything like this since I'm playing & recording alone at the moment. But I could imagine buying the JamHub at a later moment when I found some guys to play with.

thank you for the suggestions. That Roland studio capture is great, but even more expensive than the jamhub. Thanks Campster though. Ill have a look at the tourbus jamhub eelectric. Many thanks
