TD-8 or TD10 module upgrade from a TD-3?

Other than looking at the specs for both, looks like TD10 preferrable over the TD-8?

What's a fair price to pay for these used modules? Can't seem to get a read on what they actually sell for. There's a couple of TD10's out there for $325-$350 range. Not sure if that's a decent price??

Just note that the td release sequence was NOT in numberical order, and that the 3 is considerably newer and with much better (ie less electronic sounding) sounds. In all other respects, the 10 which was the first generation flagship, and the 8, (released later), which is a stripped down version of the 10, are deeper and more complex

Saku yes understood. Realized this while viewing wiki. Thankx. Really looking for more inputs. Also another thread indicated the td3 is limited using midi with another trigger device, like a tmc6 assigning/ mapping additional trigger inputs.

Then, a TD4? You could split some tom inputs to get more pads, and get the better sounds from the previous generation.

For the money, the td-10 is a steal at what the used price is now.. Its alot of module for the price. Add in the v-cymbal control card/twd-1 and its a no brainer for under $500. The vex packs available for the td10 really improve the sound as well. If your looking to just trigger software with it, it works great

I would get a TD-12 and forget the the 3 generation's old tech. Vex the 12 and you'll have an even better experience.

Morbid and Daniel, I'll go with the td10. Fits my budget also $325 used. Thankx for suggestions
