I'm glad I search this forum out and seek any info I can find.

I was all siked and stoked on getting a tmc6 to add more trigger inputs. Apparently, using the midi in/out with tmc6, would be worthless. http://www.vdrums.com/forum/forum/advanced/technical/39527-tmc6-question


Bummer, now to save money to upgrade to another roland module....

Should I really focus on getting a module which supports positional sensing? Really worth the exra $$$?

Tee hee! I had a giggle when reading the last two lines of your post. I'm not that fussed about positional sensing to be honest as the triggers have to centre mounted and that gives rise to the dreaded and frustrating hotspot.

Yes I hear you. I mounted by DIY triggers on my crossbars off center because of that. So, I guess I answered my own question. For the amount of times I would be concerned with positional sensing on my snare, I'll go to the acoustic kit.
