    Keeping it low...

    Greetings! I will soon be starting the adventure of a Diamond Electronic Drums snare (yee haa!), and will be needing a snare basket to keep it in. My current snare (while tilted some) has a leading edge thats about 21.5" above the floor. I like it there. The snare will be 5" high (as such things go) so we're talking 15-16" for the basket to keeps things in line with the universe. The baskets I've found so far that should allow this include:I was wondering what if any experience any of you folks have had with any of the above and if there were any additional alternatives you might suggest. Thanks!

        So just how far off the ground are folks snares? Are you rack mounted or on a separate stand?

        I like my whole kit nice and low including my snare. My first cut shell DIY edeums were nice and low as I was using a Krigg. However my currenr a2e build with its 22" kick will be higher. I will have to get my snare stand out of the attic see how mine sits.
