This means that by the middle of May, we will have seen revamps of BFD, EZdrummer and AD. An upgrade of Superior can't be too far off.
I look forward to seeing what in AD2. I suspect we'll see the ability to mix and match kit pieces more easily. Anyway, we've posted a few of the details released so far on digitalDrummer

And, if you bought AD after March 1, 2014, you get a free upgrade to AD 2 (value: $79); if you bought it during January or February 2014 you get 50% off. Bought mine last week, so at least my timing is spot on for purchases. maybe less so for actual drumming though!

Can't wait for AD2 myself!! I hope one of the improvements or added features is to be able to choose ANY cymbal from the cymbal slots they give you. I would love to have a kit with more than one Ride in it.
I've been drumming for 44 years. I'm 43 years old.

I know very little about Addictive Drums except what I occasionally read here.

Simple question... Does utilizing Addictive Drums require a computer by the kit whenever you play the kit?

Not if you have a 2Box module!!

Yes, it does. And preferably a minimum of 6 gb of RAM. Could be Mac or PC, but needs to be fairly new, say Windows 7 or 8 to get the best results. You may also need an audio interface otherwise you are utilizing the computer's on-board sound card, and stretching its capabilities may not lead to the best sound (crackles and pops on the one hand, latency on the other.)

How do you connect a laptop to the td30 so it triggers AD2?
