Snare strainer

Hi guys, On the TD15 there is no facility to turn off the snare wires on any of the supplied snare drums, including the VEX pack. The range is from 1 to 10 with no option of 0. Any ides on how I could fashion a snare without the snares being on. Would choosing a Tom and cranking the tuning up be a option

No. I never got it to work. Whatever I did to it they still sounded like toms.
